mii-pots11 asked: Hi :) umm , i just want to ask some tips in how you did your diet? because it really made a big difference and i want to make a big difference too .
My biggest thing was figuring out how many calories to eat each day and tracking them all. And I mean serious, precise tracking. I stopped doing things by sight (like ‘oh, I think that was about a tablespoon of brown sugar’) and started actually measuring. I made sure I knew and tracked every single calorie I ingested.
I also cut way way back on processed food and stuff like that. I still eat things that aren’t ‘good’ for me every once in a while, but for the most part (when I’m at home, at least) I make all of my own food.
I’m also vegetarian, which helps.
Honestly the way you lose weight is by ingesting less calories than you expend during the day. If your resting metabolic rate is 1800 calories and you ate 1600 calories of cake every single day, you’d still lose weight. It’s simple math.
But assuming you want to be healthy and not just lose weight, make sure what you’re eating is healthy and you get all of the nutrients you need. There are a lot of food-tracking sites (like livestrong, which I use) that keep track of your daily nutrient intake, too. Super helpful.
